NORTH JERSEY BASKETBALL LEAGUE RULES

1st/2nd grade;

• 8.5 foot hoops

• Defense inside the 3 point line until Final 2 minutes of the game than you can full court press.

• NO ZONE DEFENSE - MAN to MAN ONLY

• Basketball size 28.5 

• No free throw violations will be called (within reason.)

• 2 - 20 minute running halves. Clock stops last minute of 1st half, and final 2 of the game.

• 3 timeouts per game.

3rd grade;

• No press until final 5 minutes of the game.

• Basketball size 28.5 

• No free throw violations will be called (within reason.)

• 2 - 20 minute running halves. Clock stops last minute of 1st half, and final 2 of the game.

• 3 timeouts per game.

GENERAL RULES

• Team fouls / bonus 7 fouls > 1 and 1

• 10 Fouls > 2 shots

• Overtime will be 2 minutes (running 1st minute, stopped 2nd minute) with 1 timeout. Timeouts DO NOT CARRY OVER

• Additional overtime will be one minute stopped time.

• 3rd OT will be sudden death. First to score

• Timeouts from regulation will NOT CARRY over if your team has any left.

• Forfeits will result in an automatic 25 point win for the team present. Forfeited games will not be made up
